Stephenie Meyer no quiere quedarse con el sambenito de ser la autora de Crepúsculo. Su primer paso para demostrar que es capaz de hacer cosas llegará el año que viene en forma de adaptación de otra de sus novelas y que ella misma producirá: The Host (dirigida por Andrew Niccol). El siguiente paso, según nos cuentan desde The Hollywood Reporter, consistirá en producir una comedia romántica que dirigirá Jerusha Hess (guinista de la futura serie de la Fox Napoleon Dynamite).

 

 

Austenland, como se llamará la película, contará con Keri Russell (Felicity, Medidas Extraordinarias), J.J. Feild (Centurión, Capitán América) y Bret McKenzie (Los Conchords, El Señor de los Anillos: El Retorno del Rey) como estrellas protagonistas. El film se basa en una novela de Shannon Hale, que co-escribirá el guión junto a Hess.

 

Jerusha Hess también escribió el guión de Nacho Libre junto a su marido, Jared Hess.
