FilmDistrict, la distribuidora y productora de reciente creación que nos ha traído Insidious y que también se ha hecho con los derechos de Looper, ha ganado la puja por Parker, el thriller dirigido por Taylor Hackford (Prueba de Vida) que protagonizará Jason Statham (Snatch: Cerdos y Diamantes, Blitz) tal y como nos cuenta en exclusiva Deadline.com.

Statham dará vida a Parker, un ladrón de estricto código moral que sale directamente de las novelas de Donald E. Westlake. Este mismo personaje ya ha sido llevado al cine en A Quemarropa (de 1967 e interpretado por Lee Marvin) y en Payback (de 1999 y con Mel Gibson).
