A través de Collider podemos ver al fin el aspecto que tendrán Blake Lively y Benicio del Toro en Savages, el nuevo filme de Oliver Stone (Platoon, Wall Street) que se estrena el 28 de Septiembre de este año y que está basado en una novela de Don Winslow.

 

La sinopsis de la película es la siguiente: Ben (Aaron Johnson), un empresario pacífico y budista de Laguna Beach, y su mejor amigo Chon (Taylor Kitsch), ex-marine y ex-mercenario, llevan un lucrativo negocio de venta de marihuana. A la par, también comparten un amor muy especial por la increíblemente bella Ophelia (Lively). La vida es idílica en su pueblo del sur de California… hasta que el cartel mexicano Baja decide entrar en escena y compartir los beneficios del trío.

 

Cuando la jefa de los mafiosos, Elena (Salma Hayek), y su brutal aliado, Lado (del Toro), subestiman el indestructible lazo entre los tres amigos, Ben y Chon -con la reluctante ayuda de un agente corrupto de la DEA (John Travolta)- se lanzan a una -aparentemente imposible de vencer- guerra contra el cartel. Así comenzará una serie de viles tretas y maniobras; una salvaje batalla de voluntades.
