Cuando Clint Eastwood estrenó Gran Torino en 2008, anunció que esa sería la última vez que le veríamos como actor, ya que quería dedicarse en cuerpo y alma a dirigir. Pero el director californiano se debe más a las amistades que a las promesas y en 2013 volverá a la gran pantalla para protagonizar junto al camaleónico Justin Timberlake (La Red Social, Bad Teacher) la primera aventura en dirección de su amigo y productor Robert Lorenz, según nos desvela Variety.

 

La cinta, bajo el nombre de Trouble with the Curve, nos presenta a Eastwood como un ojeador de béisbol entrado en años y con problemas de visión que viaja a Atlanta con su hija para ojear a una nueva promesa. Timberlake, por su parte, hará las veces de Johnny Flanagan, un antiguo pitcher que ahora trabaja como ojeador para los New York Yankees y de quien se enamorará la hija de Eastwood, interpretada por Amy Adams (Los Muppets, The Fighter).
