Con este volumen en rústica protagonizado por Hiedra Venenosa y Harley Quinn, ECC Ediciones finiquita Héroes en crisis, miniserie de la que sirve de una suerte de epílogo al narrar las consecuencias que aquella tuvieron en las vidas de estas intimísimas amigas.

 

«Habrá que procurar que se arrepienta«

 

Ahora bien, ¿necesitáis conocer Héroes en crisis para adentraros en esta obra? Para nada. Igual se os escapa algún dato o se os arquea la ceja ante algún comentario durante el tramo inicial de la aventura, pero nada que resulte relevante para el devenir de la historia y la situación general de las protagonistas. A todas horas les pasan cosas a los personajes, si no es un trauma por una muerte o una pérdida, lo es por una mala decisión. Basta con saber que ambas están en uno de esos momentos de duda y necesitan un cambio que las zarandee. Así pues, si no os interesan Harley o Hiedra, no caigáis en la trampa del «epílogo» porque no es tal.

 

La irregular Jody Houser (hay está su buen hacer en Faith o el encargo de Viuda Negra) apunta esta miniserie en su debe. Hace de las trampas y las casualidades sus mejores aliadas para rellenar los cinco capítulos de una aventura que apunta buenas maneras, pero que pronto pierde el interés. La autora lo apuesta todo a la dinámica entre Harleen y Pamela sin que ninguna de las dos tenga un objetivo definido. Podría ser un «volver a lo de antes», pero ¿cuál es ese antes? El camino y motivaciones que traza la guionista para sus protagonistas es excesivamente vago y eso se traduce en una propuesta que no tarda en recurrir a elementos externos que muevan el guion hacia delante: el regalo de Lex Luthor, la aparición de Batwoman… Harley Quinn y Hiedra Venenosa es un buen ejemplo del funcionamiento y utilidad del Deus ex machina en la ficción actual.

 

 

Un cómic sin mucha sustancia, apto para incondicionales de Hiedra y Harley, pero con muchos visos de caer en el olvido incluso para la propia DC Comics.
